Red Pepper Hummus Platter

When you come into the Bisbee Grille and get seated, you might want to start out with our Red Pepper Hummus Platter. It is prepared with red pepper and garlic hummus, with warm pita bread and feta cheese. Greek olives and season sweet fruit.

Chickpeas and sesame, the crops from which hummus's main ingredients are taken, were known and cultivated in the ancient Mediterranean and Middle Eastern worlds. The chickpea was used as a food item in Palestine before 4000 BC, was one of the earliest crops cultivated in Mesopotamia and was a common street dish in ancient Rome. So come in and try our Hummus Platter, and chase it down with a bottle of Klinkerbrick Old Vine Zinfandel.
